The Financials

I have a story to tell you.
Once upon a time, while I was living in California, I was asked about my financial situation. Well... my budget was snug. I was a college-age student, traveling the world and living in the mountains. There's not a lot of wiggle room there.
"Lainie, people want to help you!" was the response.
Really? Okay, then!

So I assume you, Reader, are a person wanting to help me with this adventure.
(I'll tell you, it's not free!)
Here is what we are looking at:

$500 per month. Multiplied by nine. $4,500.
This will cover my living expenses, such as room and board and inner-city travel.

$600 per round-trip plane ticket. Multiplied by three. $1,800.
I am estimating a trip home for Christmas, at sister's graduation, and then when I move back to the States.

Add those together. That's $6,300.

This, however, does not include the "random, yet important" expenses beforehand, such as checking a bag on the plane, or the vitamins I will need to keep my digestive system in balance. (Yum!)

I'm aiming at a good $7,000.

With my present job, and my whole bank account, I will make a pleasant dent in that number.
But I'm not going to make it. Not on my own. This is where you are invited to step in.

$1? Or $500? It all adds up. I am simply honored that you desire to participate.
